AI Framework: The 5P Framework

20 March 2025 · 1 min read

I've recently found myself subject to endless questions around AI and how 'one' should be using it / which tools to use. I guess many of you believe AI to be a magical solution to unknown problems.

Honestly, I'm not sure that's the best way to think about it.

Here's a framework I use to solve problems...

The 5P Framework

  • Purpose | What is the question we're trying to answer? What is the problem we're trying to solve.
  • People | Who needs to be involved? Who needs to know about this?
  • Process | How will we answer this question, solve this problem?
  • Platform | What tools do we need? What software will we use?
  • Performance | How will we measure success? How do we know we solved the problem?

Better approach: Use this framework to find inefficiencies within your business, department or process that AI might be able to help you with. This is how AI companies decide to build them.
