Refreshing your website
30 March 2025 · 1 min read
Refreshing your website keeps you relevant, helps you match customer exceptions and realigns your digital store front with your evolving business.
A great way to tell if you need a redesign is to ask your team what they think of your company website. If the answer is: it sucks - then redesign it.
Here's a list of reasons to help you decide why it might suck and why a redesign maybe considered.
- It looks outdated
- Doesn’t work on mobile devices
- Content isn’t relevant anymore
- Content and structure are out-of-date
- Lead-Gen is substandard
- Difficult to update content
- Poor ranking
- Hosting is complex & costly
- It's slow
- GDPR compliance
- Unsure how you handle security threats
- Low Google PageSpeed Insights Score
Research suggests: 94% of first impressions are design-related.
At the WGN, we try to update ours every 1-2 years. We're always surprised how our business today is very different to when we last redesigned.
